THOUGHTS
Last Tuesday we discussed God’s infinite nature and majesty.
Rom 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom
and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable
His ways! 34 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME
HIS COUNSELOR? 35 Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID
BACK TO HIM AGAIN? 36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all
things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
The song I STAND IN AWE, has been running through my mind
since Tuesday. The second verse below is new to me. So intending once
again to share GOD’S AWESOME BEING...
“You are beautiful beyond description Too marvelous
for words
Too wonderful for comprehension Like nothing ever seen or heard
Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom? Who can fathom the depth of Your
love?
You are beautiful beyond description Majesty, enthroned above
You are beautiful beyond description Yet God crushed
You for my sin
In agony and deep affliction Cut off that I might enter in
Who can grasp such tender compassion? Who can fathom this mercy so
free?
You are beautiful beyond description Lamb of God who died for me
And I stand, I stand in awe of You I stand, I stand
in awe of You
Holy God, to whom all praise is due I stand in awe of You”
Col 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been
knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the
full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s
mystery, that
is, Christ Himself, 3
in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
My Prayer:
Oh God, your Majesty and Being is so far beyond us. Help us that we may truly
stand in awe of you with each breath. May we abide in you, and you in
us. Guide our steps to please you as adopted children. Work in us
and through us that we might be fruitful in the Kingdom. Accept our love
and praise. In the name of Jesus
Amen
